Hull City boss Phil Brown believes his side did not get 'the rub of the green' in their 2-2 draw at Liverpool.
The Tigers had roared into a two-goal lead through a Paul McShane header and a Jamie Carragher own goal inside the opening 22 minutes at Anfield.
However, Liverpool's captain Steven Gerrard rescued a point for the Premier League leaders with two strikes before the interval.
And Brown believes referee Alan Wiley should have awarded his side two free-kicks during the build up to both of Liverpool's goals.
He said: "You never get the rub of the green in front of the Kop, but for both Liverpool's goals, Michael Turner was fouled.
"It took a lot to get us into that position, so I am very disappointed to have conceded two goals in that manner.
"But I suppose we have got a point at a place where we were not expected too."
City stay sixth and are still in contention for European qualification, but Brown is eager to keep feet on the ground.
He said: "It is too early to talk about Europe, we have done very well but it is too early to start making bold statements about Europe just yet.
"I am just delighted with an outstanding performance from the lads. We just have to keep going along the way we are doing."
