Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has scooped the Barclays Player of the Month award for November.
The Frenchman enjoyed a superb run in front of goal in November scoring seven times in five games.
Anelka helped himself to a hat-trick in the 5-0 demolition of Sunderland at Stamford Bridge before netting in the 2-0 win at Blackburn and then grabbing a brace in the 3-0 victory over West Brom.
The striker's goalscoring form in November has helped Anelka lead the way for the Golden Boot award with the former Arsenal man having netted 13 goals to date.
The award was Anelka's first Player of the Month prize since February 1999 and comes as a boost for the striker ahead of this weekend's clash with West Ham.
