Steve Bruce was delighted after Wigan came from behind to beat West Brom and move to ninth in the league.
The victory - and Monday's 1-0 win over Everton - gave Bruce his first back-to-back successes in the Premier League since he took charge at the JJB Stadium a year ago.
The Baggies took the lead two minutes after half-time when Ishmael Miller capitalised on a Titus Bramble mistake and coolly netted past Chris Kirkland.
But the Latics equalised through a fantastic Henri Camara goal on 61 minutes and then Emmerson Boyce scored the winner with three minutes to go.
The Latics had keeper Kirkland to thank for the victory after he made a string of great saves to keep his team in the game.
Bruce told Sky Sports: "It has been a decent week in terms of results and just what we needed really.
"We had a poor October, not the way we played, but we didn't pick up the points and we've done today what Middlesbrough come and did to us three or four weeks ago, you know.
"West Brom can rightly feel as if they've been mugged but some fantastic goalkeeping and we stuck at it and in the end got a break."
Kirkland made a great right-footed save when James Morrison was one-on-one with him soon after the Baggies had scored.
Bruce added: "I think that's the turning point of the game and the goalkeeper, if we buy him a drink tonight, then he deserves it because he was outstanding.
"For people watching and people who work with him every day he proves what an outstanding keeper he is - he has pulled off two, three great saves which ultimately won us the match," said Bruce, who added: "He is, unquestionably for me, the best goalkeeper in this country."
Bruce praised Camara who has now netted twice inside a week after getting the winner against Everton on Monday, although he has had to wait for his chance because of the form of Emile Heskey and Amr Zaki.
"He's got two in two and he proved to people that in and around the box he's still got what a striker does, he hasn't really contributed too much to the game but he's got himself another goal," he said.
Wigan have now gone five games unbeaten in the league but Bruce warned: "But it is quite easy to go five the other way too - we are not going to get carried away.
"We have had a good week - we've won back-to-back games for the first time in a year since I've been here so we have got ourselves in a decent position, we must now kick on."
