Johnson - Zamora is top-class

Fulham forward Andy Johnson has backed his Craven Cottage strike partner Bobby Zamora to rediscover his goalscoring touch.

Johnson, a £10.5million summer arrival from Everton, netted his first goals for Fulham in the 2-0 midweek victory over Wigan.

But Zamora, who joined the Cottagers from West Ham in July, has not scored since opening his account in mid-September.

Johnson, however, has revealed how much he enjoys playing alongside Zamora and he has confidence in his team-mate.

"Bobby is a fantastic player to play with," said Johnson. "He is top-class. All you've got to do is look at his performances over the last three or four weeks.

"I know he hasn't scored much but neither had I until Wednesday. He is fantastic to play alongside and he will definitely score goals.

"He's a top-quality player, he scores goals every single day in training - fantastic goals as well - so he's a pleasure to play alongside.

"He should take the credit against Wigan because he did a lot of my work as well."
