Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson is unconcerned about Manchester City's new-found spending power as he prepares for Sunday's derby clash at Eastlands.
City are set to try and further flex the financial muscle provided by the Abu Dhabi-backed takeover in the January transfer window.
But despite the presence of British record buy Robinho in City's current line-up, Ferguson is more concerned with the present and the pursuit of Chelsea and leaders Liverpool in the title race.
"Where are they (City) at the moment?" said Ferguson.
"Our threats are Chelsea and Liverpool, who are sitting above us.
"The money is for the future. Mark Hughes must decide how it will shape his team. At this moment in time that is not the case."
City's wealth may make them an increasing threat in the years to come if Hughes is able to attract the right calibre of players.
But like he did when Roman Abramovich opened his chequebook at Stamford Bridge, Ferguson will take on that challenge if and when it materialises.
"This club is good at responding to challenges," he added. "We had to accept it and do something about it with Chelsea otherwise we would have been second forever more.
"Thankfully, we have won the last two leagues."
