Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari was understandably delighted after his side romped to a 5-0 success at Middlesbrough.
The Brazilian was without a host of first-team stars, but the XI who turned out were just far too good for Boro as they maintained their place at the summit of the table.
Salomon Kalou scored to make it 1-0 at half-time before Chelsea put Middlesbrough to the sword with a dazzling second-half display as Kalou again, Florent Malouda, Frank Lampard and Juliano Belletti all scored.
"It was a good Chelsea, because they play as a group, as a team - they played very well and did their best, and the result is this," Scolari told Sky Sports.
"I think I have a group, a team - they all played very well.
"I lost five or six but the other players did very well. It showed to the people today we have 23, 24 players that we need to believe in.
"They have a spirit. Some players have fantastic spirit, they want to play every game, if injured or not. They showed this to the other players. This is Chelsea of today."
Scolari thinks their hard work in pre-season is one of the main reasons behind their great start to the new campaign.
"We worked very hard in pre-season, all our players know what is wanted, if I put one winger, two strikers or two midfielders they know what positions they are playing and this is good for Chelsea, me and the fans," he said.
The Brazilian, though, refused to be drawn on their prospects for the title this early in the season.
"We have a long way to win the Premier League," he added.
