Rangers have confirmed the signing of Portsmouth midfielder Pedro Mendes on a three-year deal.
The 29-year-old Portuguese player joins for a fee in the region of £3million and will go straight into the squad for Satruday's Clydesdale Bank Premier League home game with Hearts.
Mendes is the second signing Rangers have made in the last 48 hours following the capture of Spanish youngster Aaron Niguez Esclapez on a two-year loan deal. Mendes, who won the Champions League with Porto in 2004 and the FA Cup with Portsmouth last season, was delighted with the move.
