Liverpool are understood to be closing on the capture of Tottenham striker Robbie Keane for a fee that could rise to £20million.
The Reds have been tracking the Republic of Ireland international's services for most of the summer and now appear set to land their man.
Keane is thought to have undergone a medical and could even fly to Spain and join his new team-mates as early as Tuesday ahead of their friendly against Villarreal.
It is believed Liverpool concluded a deal for the former Leeds United ace with Spurs at the weekend. The final figure could rise as high as £20million including add-ons.
