Hull City are poised to make George Boateng their third summer signing after agreeing a deal with Middlesbrough for the midfielder.
Tigers boss Phil Brown revealed he will now attempt to agree personal terms with the 32-year-old, who has been looking for a new club since being told he could not be guaranteed first-team football at the Riverside.
Boateng cost Boro £5million from Aston Villa in 2002.
